Awning Ultra Installation in Bray, Co. Wicklow
For this residential project in Bray, Co. Wicklow, AD Solutions supplied and professionally installed a large made-to-measure Awning Ultra. The awning measures 700 cm wide with a 350 cm projection, creating a generous shaded area across the patio and helping make the outdoor space more comfortable throughout the day.
The customer selected the R430 Bara striped fabric, combining deep red, cream and neutral tones. The traditional striped pattern adds character to the garden while working particularly well with the modern anthracite grey awning structure.
700 × 350 cm Awning for a Large Patio Area
At 7 metres wide, this Awning Ultra provides substantial coverage while still retracting neatly when not required. The 350 cm projection gives the patio excellent protection from direct sunlight and creates a practical shaded area for seating, dining and relaxing outdoors.
The awning was installed directly to the property and positioned to provide useful shade across the main patio area while keeping the garden open and accessible.
RAL 7016 Anthracite Grey Construction
The cassette, front profile and arms were finished in RAL 7016 Anthracite Grey. This is one of the most popular frame colours for modern homes because it works well with dark window frames, sliding doors and contemporary exterior finishes.
When the awning is retracted, the system has a clean and discreet appearance against the building. When opened, the large striped fabric creates a completely different character and becomes a strong visual feature of the garden.
R430 Bara Striped Awning Fabric
For this installation, the customer chose R430 Bara fabric with distinctive red and cream stripes. The fabric gives the awning a warm, classic appearance while providing effective protection from direct sunlight.
Choosing the right fabric is an important part of every awning project. Along with the frame colour, it allows the awning to be matched to the style of the house, garden and existing outdoor furniture.
Integrated LED Lighting in the Front Bar
LED lighting was integrated into the front bar of the awning. This provides practical ambient lighting underneath the awning in the evening and helps extend the use of the patio after sunset.
Because the lighting is incorporated directly into the awning, there is no need for separate external light fittings around the patio area.
Motorised Operation and Wind Sensor
The Awning Ultra is fully motorised, allowing the customer to open and retract the awning easily whenever shade is required.
A wind sensor was also installed as part of the system. The sensor provides additional protection by automatically retracting the awning when strong wind conditions are detected.
