About this project
Two details define this Rialto installation: matching fabric on the canopy and rollable front, and specially made mounting brackets. Together they bring the finish and the fixing arrangement into the same design.
The awning is 4.35m wide and projects 3m. D308 fabric is used on both the canopy and its front, so the lowered fabric remains visually connected to the area above it. The frame has an anthracite finish.
Bringing a matching front into the design
A rollable front changes the visible shape of an open awning. Using the same fabric above and below keeps that extended shape consistent, rather than introducing a second colour or texture at eye level.
The custom brackets are a separate part of this Rialto project. They address the mounting arrangement, while the matching fabric addresses appearance. Keeping those decisions distinct makes it easier to choose the look you want while still working with the needs of the building.
Solution and installation
Custom brackets are part of this particular installation. Their design needs to suit the building, so a similar-looking wall should still be assessed individually. The awning is motorised and includes a wind sensor.

FAQ — Rialto, Dublin
Does the front use a contrasting material in Rialto?
No. The main canopy and rollable front both use D308 fabric.
Were the mounting brackets made for this project?
Specially made brackets are included in the installation details. Their precise arrangement is specific to the building.
Does choosing matching fabric determine the brackets?
No. Fabric selection concerns the finish, while the bracket arrangement depends on how the awning can be mounted to the property.
