Hybrid ZIP pergola installation in Swords, Dublin
This project in Swords, Dublin features a made-to-measure Hybrid ZIP pergola designed to provide flexible shade over a residential patio while keeping the structure clean and contemporary.
The system measures 300 × 450 cm and is finished in RAL 7016 Anthracite Grey, allowing the aluminium construction to blend naturally with modern windows, doors and exterior finishes.
Motorised ZIP roof with U371 fabric
The pergola uses U371 fabric within a ZIP-guided roof system. The fabric remains securely controlled within the side guides as the roof moves, helping to maintain a neat appearance and consistent tension across the covered area.
Motorised operation allows the homeowner to open or close the roof easily depending on sunlight, changing weather conditions or how the patio is being used.
Telescopic front profile for greater flexibility
A key feature of this installation is the telescopic front profile. This allows the front section of the system to adjust as the roof operates and helps the pergola work effectively within the available patio layout.
The result is a practical shading system that provides substantial coverage while maintaining a light, streamlined structure around the outdoor area.
RAL 7016 anthracite construction
The entire aluminium frame is finished in RAL 7016 Anthracite Grey, one of the most popular finishes for contemporary outdoor structures.
Anthracite works especially well with modern homes because it complements dark window frames, sliding doors and other architectural details without dominating the garden.
